360 Image: Uploading Pictures in Marker/Hotspot Feature

I am currently doing a interactive virtual tour for an interior design course.

I understand that the marker/hotspot feature allows you to upload media(picture, video, audio).

I've uploaded a picture from file(below). The pictures taken were in portrait mode but when uploaded, the picture turns into landscape.

I don't see anywhere in storyline where I can change this.

  • Hello, SGUT05, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

When I added the photo you shared to a marker, I experienced the same: the photo was in landscape mode. Re-exporting the image solved the issue:

I'm attaching the exported photo here. I hope this helps!

    Hi

I have a similar issue - I have an mp4 portrait video and when I imported it into Replay it changed to landscape and I couldn't locate how I could change it back so I tried to change it using Storyline but without success.

Could you advise why it changes to landscape in Replay when it is a portrait video and how I can change it back to portrait.

    Thanks.

    Dorothy

      Hello Dorothy,

      Happy to help!

Importing other videos into both Replay 360 and Storyline 360 on my end showed the correct orientation, which means there's a chance that the issue is specific to the video file that you are importing. Would you be willing to share a copy of your video file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!
