45 second lag before project starts.

Windows 10. Version 3.97.34031.0

Please look at this project.

You're going to see a black screen...but you'll be hearing the background audio music bed. After about 45 seconds or so...the project starts.

This happens if I publish to Web, SCORM and to Review 360.

It's almost like it's waiting for something/buffering. But it's able to play the background audio...so any end user is going to think it's a mistake...they're not going to wait a minute starting at a black screen! Is it the background audio messing it up? The fact I have GIFs in it? It's only 7 slides...it's not like it's huge, right? Help??

  • Update: Ripping out the GIFs seemed to help...but GIFs are supported right? They shouldn't create THAT big of a lag/issue? I really like to use these GIFs in my projects

      Hi KathleenSaunder,

Thanks for sharing your Review link and .Story file!

While viewing the course in Review, I don't see a lag before the project starts. I recorded a Peek so you can see what I'm experiencing. Is this what you're seeing as well? For reference, I'm using Chrome Version 133.0.6943.142.

Thank you for testing. Sadly, my experience is not the same. My coworker also gets the lag. And our Learner audience is so huge and it's impossible to know what machine/browser/etc they use so I have to go with the conclusion that if it won't work for me or my coworker, I have to scrape using GIFs, regardless if it worked for y'all. Sigh.

I appreciate you testing! And I'm glad to know it works as designed...but since it still lags with my teammate and myself, I have to assume it'll do the same for muy Learners...means I have to scrape using GIFs. 😥
