Adjusting object or end of the slide to a cue point
Hello,
I’m having an issue when working with videos in Storyline:
- When I insert a video, the object duration automatically extends to the end of the slide, even if the video itself is shorter.
- For example, if my video is 2 minutes long, Storyline often sets the object duration to 4 minutes.
- To fix this, I have to manually drag the object’s end to match the video length, which is extremely time-consuming when working with multiple videos.
It would be extremely useful to have a feature allowing us to:
- Snap an object’s end directly to a cue point, or
- Crop/adjust an object’s duration more easily, without dragging manually.
This is a very common feature in most video editing tools (e.g. Canva, Premiere, etc.), and it would save a huge amount of production time in Storyline projects.
Could you confirm if there’s already a workaround for this, or if such a feature is planned for future releases?
Honestly, it’s really frustrating that such a basic feature is still missing. It feels like a huge gap compared to other tools, and it slows down production massively. I strongly believe this should be prioritized and implemented as soon as possible.
Thanks,
