After AI Localization
Hi CarolineGagn745!
Happy to help with this! Allow me to answer your questions individually:
- Currently, courses that have been translated with Articulate Localization do not support exporting of XLIFF files. If you need to utilize external translation workflows, we suggest exporting your source content (via XLIFF) before using the Localization tool.
- Yes, you can remove translated languages and revert your projects to a standalone course:
- In Storyline 360, open a localized course and go to File > Localization, hover over the language you want to remove, and choose Delete from Project. If you delete all target languages, your project reverts to a regular Storyline file.
- In Rise 360, click the ellipses (...) beside the language from the stack overview, and choose Archive. The language moves to the Archived Translation folder at the bottom left. You can also restore, or permanently delete the language from the Archived Translation folder.
I understand the ability to export an XLIFF file from an already localized course could improve your authoring experience in Rise, as well as Storyline. I've shared this feedback with our product team!
We'll be sure to notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps!
Hi. I need urgent help. I have a Rise file that for which I need an XLIFF. Unfortunately, I clicked on translate to check out the localization feature and now I can't get rid of it or create an XLIFF. I archived and deleted my translation -- in fact, I don't think it worked because I didn't realize this was a paid add-on. How can I completely get rid of the localization on my file so I can create an XLIFF? And of course, I need it today. :-)

StevenBenassi I am having the same exact problem.
I have tried:
- Duplicating the file
- Archiving the Language
- Deleting the Archive
- Sending a Copy via email to create a new session

Hi ker_nonymous,
I'm happy to help!
First, I'd like to confirm if you're using Rise 360 or Storyline 360. It appears that Jan was working on a Rise 360 course. Their issue was resolved by saving the course as a standalone course, then exporting a XLIFF from that. Here's a quick demo.
Please let me know if this works!
