AI Image: Custom - prompts not copying/carrying over

First, the new AI Image generation feels like a downgrade. The same prompt looks vastly different than before, so courses that I'm in the middle of will require a complete graphic overhaul.

Second, the Custom prompts used to carry over from image to image throughout the course. I've tried Copy, etc. and I now have to manually input the prompt under Custom every time. What am I missing so my Custom prompt loads with each AI Image I want to generate?

Third, it's giving me very little variation in pictures, I used to get multiple options that had variety, Now, across 3 images with the same style but vastly different prompts, the generated images look uncannily similar. How can I have it return to giving me variety between generations?

The same prompts I've been using have changed in quality and variety with this update.
