AI Voice Generator (Voiceovers)

Several websites offer AI-powered voiceover software (e.g., WellSaid, Narakeet) that generates natural-sounding voices from text. These tools provide significant advantages over traditional voice recording, particularly for e-learning content creation.

Currently, Storyline only offers text-to-speech functionality, which produces robotic-sounding audio and lacks the professionalism of human voiceovers.

I propose integrating AI voiceover functionality directly into Storyline. This would allow users to:

  • Paste scripts and generate voiceovers within Storyline: Eliminate the need for external software and simplify the voiceover creation process.
  • Choose from a selection of AI voices: Offer a variety of voices with different accents, tones, and styles to suit the content and target audience.
  • Changing script content: Entire sections of the script can be rewritten and re-narrated instantly, saving time and avoiding the need for additional recording sessions.

Benefits

  • Enhanced e-learning quality: Natural-sounding voiceovers significantly improve the overall quality and professionalism of e-learning courses.
  • Reduced production costs: AI voiceovers eliminate the need for hiring voice actors and expensive recording studios.
  • Streamlined workflow: Integrated functionality within Storyline saves time and effort compared to using external tools.

Integrating AI voiceover functionality within Storyline would be a valuable addition, significantly enhancing the capabilities and user experience for e-learning content creators. This feature would allow for the creation of high-quality, engaging, and accessible e-learning content in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

I encourage the Storyline development team to consider this proposal and explore the possibilities of integrating AI voiceover functionality into future versions of the software. I believe this feature would be highly beneficial for a wide range of Storyline users and significantly enhance the platform's value proposition.

Does anyone know if this feature is coming with the Ai release?  I know Synthesia is being integrated, but that is for video.  I don't want to pay for WellSaid Labs if I know that a better Ai voiceover is coming.

  • I strongly agree too! The storyline could definitely be improved by incorporating AI voice, which is currently quite popular. The traditional machine voice sounds outdated and monotonous.
