AI voices change through the capsule
Hi, I've started using Liam as a voice for my capsule. My text is in French and it sounds nice with a small accent for France. I'm from Quebec, where our accent is different. I've started with the accent from France which was fine but in the middle of my capsule, Liam starts to have an accent from Quebec... I like it, but why has it changed through my work? I didn't touch anything. I would like to stay with the same accent...

Hi Marie-Claude125,
I'm happy to help!
I understand the voice that you've chosen, Liam, has an accent that has changed while working on your course. One thing you can check is the Advanced Settings in the AI text-to-speech window. Here's how:
- Open the AI text-to-speech window.
- Advanced settings.
- Next to Model, check what the current setting is. If it's set to v3, try selecting Multilingual v2.
- Select Generate to preview the voice again.
If you don't notice a difference, please let us know so we can investigate further! It would also be helpful to see a screen recording and hear the change in Liam's accent. You can share that here or privately in a support case.

I have exactly the same issue - the voice Millie has had a version 3 upgrade. The version 2 is perfect as it matches the regional accent where I live. I get that I can change it back to Multilingual v2 in advanced settings, but do I have to do that every time I generate a new voice? Can I just set Multilingual v2 to be my default voice of choice?
Great question, PeterM64! Right now, Storyline uses the newest voice model by default when generating AI narration. There isn’t a way to change that default.
For now, you’ll need to choose the earlier version in Advanced Settings each time you generate new audio.

That is a massive retrograde step, and will waste a considerable amount of my time to change settings each time. WIll you consider adding an option to choose a preferred version as default, for a future release?
