AI Voices Trailing Off

Some of the voices kind of start trailing off, almost to the point where you can barely hear them. This is if the voice sample starts getting longer, almost as if the AI voice is out of breath. One example is the voice, "Domi."

Is this something that can be looked at?

Thanks!

  • Hi EpicEdward,

Happy to look into this for you!

We'll need your help to start our investigation. Please provide:

    • A copy of your project file containing existing AI-generated audio files showing the issue. You can share a copy of your project file here or privately by opening a support case. We'll delete it when we're done testing!
    • The details you used to generate the audio. Please share a sample script we can enter here to create a file that will have the quality issues you described.

    Looking forward to your response!

Thank you - here is an example script, and the voice I used was "Domi." I didn't change any of the default settings, so I am not sure if that helps or hinders this.

In the heart of the bustling city, there was a small, unassuming café that had become a sanctuary for those seeking a moment of peace. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the soft hum of conversation, creating an atmosphere that was both comforting and invigorating. The walls were adorned with artwork from local artists, each piece telling a story of its own. The café's owner, Mr. Thompson, was a kind man with a warm smile and a knack for remembering the names and favorite drinks of his regulars.

One chilly autumn morning, a young woman named Clara entered the café, her cheeks flushed from the cold. She had recently moved to the city and was still finding her way around. The café had been recommended by a colleague, and Clara was eager to see if it lived up to the praise. As she stepped inside, she was greeted by the inviting warmth and the rich scent of coffee beans. She approached the counter, where Mr. Thompson stood, ready to take her order.

"Good morning! What can I get for you today?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with genuine interest.

Clara smiled, feeling instantly at ease. "I'll have a cappuccino, please."

"Coming right up," Mr. Thompson replied, expertly preparing her drink. As she waited, Clara glanced around the room, taking in the cozy ambiance. She noticed a small bookshelf in the corner, filled with an eclectic mix of novels and poetry collections. Intrigued, she made a mental note to explore it further on her next visit.

When her cappuccino was ready, Clara found a seat by the window, where she could watch the world go by. She took a sip of her drink, savoring the perfect blend of espresso and frothy milk. It was exactly what she needed to start her day. As she sat there, she couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. The café had a way of making her feel at home, even in a city that was still so new to her.

Over the next few weeks, Clara became a regular at the café. She would often bring her laptop and work on her writing projects, finding inspiration in the lively yet serene environment. She struck up conversations with other patrons, forming connections that made the city feel a little less overwhelming. Mr. Thompson always greeted her with a friendly wave, and she appreciated the sense of community that the café provided.

One day, as Clara was engrossed in her writing, a man approached her table. He was tall and had a thoughtful expression on his face. "Excuse me," he said softly, "I couldn't help but notice that you're a writer. I'm an editor at a local publishing house, and we're always on the lookout for new talent. Would you be interested in discussing your work?"

Clara was taken aback but pleasantly surprised. She had been working on a novel for the past year, and the opportunity to share it with a professional was both exciting and nerve-wracking. "I'd love to," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady.

The man introduced himself as James and took a seat across from her. They spent the next hour discussing her novel, with James offering valuable feedback and encouragement. By the end of their conversation, Clara felt a renewed sense of purpose and motivation. She thanked James for his time and promised to send him a draft of her manuscript.

As she left the café that day, Clara couldn't help but reflect on how much her life had changed since she first walked through its doors. The café had become more than just a place to get coffee; it was a haven where she had found inspiration, friendship, and unexpected opportunities. She knew that no matter where her journey as a writer took her, the café would always hold a special place in her heart.

Months passed, and Clara's novel began to take shape. She spent countless hours at the café, writing and revising, fueled by the encouragement of Mr. Thompson and the other regulars. James continued to provide guidance, and their professional relationship blossomed into a genuine friendship. Clara felt a sense of belonging that she had never experienced before.

One evening, as Clara was packing up her things, Mr. Thompson approached her with a smile. "Clara, I have something for you," he said, handing her a small, wrapped package.

Curious, Clara unwrapped the package to find a beautifully bound journal. The cover was embossed with her initials, and inside, the pages were blank, waiting to be filled with her words. "Thank you, Mr. Thompson," she said, touched by the thoughtful gift.

"I thought you might like a special place to jot down your ideas," he replied. "You've become an important part of our little community here, and we all believe in you."

Clara felt a lump in her throat as she hugged Mr. Thompson. "This means so much to me. Thank you."

As she walked home that night, Clara couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the unexpected turn her life had taken. The café had given her more than just a place to write; it had given her a sense of purpose and a community that supported her dreams.

Finally, the day came when Clara's novel was complete. She sent the final manuscript to James, who was thrilled with the result. "This is fantastic, Clara," he said during their next meeting. "I have no doubt that it will be a success."

With James's help, Clara's novel was published, and it quickly gained attention. The café held a launch event, and the place was filled with friends, family, and supporters. Mr. Thompson beamed with pride as he introduced Clara to the crowd. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present to you, our very own Clara, and her debut novel!"

The room erupted in applause, and Clara felt a wave of emotion wash over her. She stepped up to the microphone, her heart pounding. "Thank you all for being here," she began. "This café has been my sanctuary, my inspiration, and my home. I couldn't have done this without the support of Mr. Thompson, James, and all of you. This book is as much yours as it is mine."

        Hello EpicEdward

Thanks for sharing your audio script with us! I’m sorry to hear that the volume of your generated audio decreased toward the end of your AI text-to-speech narration.

We’re aware that this issue is affecting some voices in the Multilingual v2 model when generating longer clips. Since the issue comes from the underlying model itself, we can’t do as much as we’d like to resolve it. We are in contact with our AI subprocessor for text-to-speech and they are working to find a solution.

In the meantime, we suggest the following workarounds:

        • Use a different voice
        • Switch to the Turbo v2.5 model
        • Increase the voice’s stability
        • Manually break your text into smaller chunks to generate shorter clips

If you'd like for us to take a closer look at your .story file after implementing some of these workarounds, we'd be happy to take a closer look in this discussion or privately in a support case.

Hope this helps—and let me know if you have any other questions.
