Arabic Language-Storyline Import and Publish Issues
We are using the most current version of SL available as of June 8, 2022. I am praying that there are quick fixes for all the issues I am encountering.
My team has translated the exported docx files into Arabic. When imported, the Arabic text is 100% ignored by Storyline. This is only the first problem--and I have 23 courses that must be translated from English to Arabic.
2nd Problem: I began copy/pasting manually the correct text into Storyline, only to find that I can't publish it. I constantly get an error message saying Storyline must close...please send us a comment.
3rd Problem: I customized the player for Arabic, saved it to a new name, and Storyline ignored it--won't let me import it into an existing Storyline file without crashing.
I NEED HELP PLEASE and quickly or my boss will scratch Articulate and start looking for another eLearning tool that can do the job.
Hello Gayle!
I can understand how frustrating it can be to have trouble with translation projects within Storyline 360.
I see that you’ve reached out to our Support Engineers and are working with my teammate, Renato! You’re in great hands. We’ll continue the conversation in your support case!
Have a great day!

Hi, what is the verdict on this? I am creating a course that needs to be in Arabic-- I was going to just copy and paste the text. Before I start, will this be possible? Thanks.
Hello Caitlin,
Thanks for reaching out!
Copying and pasting text is definitely supported in Storyline 360, even for non-English text. Gayle's project encountered data corruption which caused the errors that they were experiencing. Here's a helpful article which lists some steps on how to reduce the risk of encountering corrupted project files.
If you encounter issues with copying and pasting text, open a case with our support team here so we can help correct the behavior.
