Articulate Rise Quiz:
If I want to create a Quiz (Exam) with 30 questions, in separate categories. Requirements include:
80% passing score (of the 30., not by category)
2 Attempts
Is the only way this can occur...

That’s a great question, and I can see what you’re aiming to do by organizing your quiz into categories.
Here’s how this works today in Rise 360. Each quiz lesson functions independently, so if you split your questions across multiple quizzes, each one has its own scoring and attempts, and they can’t be combined into a single overall result. As SamHill also pointed out, there are some limitations around how results and learner guidance can be customized.
Because of that, using one quiz lesson is currently the only way to have a single passing score and shared attempts across all 30 questions.
I’ve shared both of your use cases with our product team as we continue tracking the need for more flexible quiz structures.
