Best approach for multiple Heading 1 styles in a course

I haven't started using text styles yet, because I typically have a lot of variation within a course. I use different layouts that require different colors for headings based on the background color of the slides.

However, I need to update my courses for accessibility and need to figure this out.

QUESTION: Is there a way to use heading styles when I technically need multiple styles within a course?

If I moved slides with the same background color to separate slide masters, would it work?

  • Hi MEJohnson!

Happy to share some insight on this!

In Storyline 360, you can indeed use Text Styles to maintain accessibility requirements, while having various styles within the same course. By configuring multiple Master Slides you can define different Heading styles for each Master, then apply those layouts at the slide-level, where necessary.

If you run into any setbacks while setting these Layouts up, please let us know. We'd be happy to review your .story file and assist further!

Thank you! That was my guess, but I wasn't sure.
