Blank space at top of Rise page
Hi Everyone!
Sorry to hear that you've encountered Lesson Header spacing gaps when publishing from Rise 360!
I'm happy to share that we've released a new update for Rise, which corrects this behavior. There's nothing to install for web-based apps, as new features and fixes are immediately available.
Please let us know if you have any questions about this update or the issue you've reported!
The following non-intuitive workflow solved it for us!
- In your course, go to Theme and then Lesson Headers
- Untick "Hide Lesson Headers"
- Use the first lesson header option
- Scroll down and change the header heigt from "Small" to "Medium"
- Now tick "Hide Lesson Headers"
For some reason, this removed the blank space for us. I hope it solves your issue as well!

I remember seeing this issue in the last couple weeks, when using the option to hide lesson headers left the empty space. I thought that was odd, in the css they were using visibility:hidden which leaves the blank space. But testing today they've changed the css to max-height:0 which affects the geometry. I think this was a bug, which they've quietly fixed as I can't replicate the original issue anymore. Instead of removing the header code altogether they just make it 0px in height, I assume this is for an accessibility concern. But if you are creating your own lesson headers in a block, keep in mind those using a screen reader might be encountering two sets of 'lesson headers' now.

Hi AleidoLearning,
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with published Rise 360 content.
I see that you're currently working with my teammate Carlo, through a support case. We can continue the conversation there!

Legend this worked for me! StevenBenassi this is still an issue if you are using "small" headers before hiding Lesson Headers.

Thanks for flagging this, alesha99, and glad the Medium/Large workaround got you unblocked in the meantime!
You're right that this is still an issue specifically when using Small header height before hiding Lesson Headers. I was able to reproduce it myself, so I can confirm it's a real, known issue that's being tracked, rather than something new.
In the meantime, the workaround AleidoLearning shared earlier in this thread, setting the header height to Medium or Large before hiding, remains the way to avoid it.
