Blur videos

JoeFrancis' suggestion is ideal, but even in a DEV environment there are times when a "motion blur" functionality would be helpful. In my case, recorded a software demo in view mode (screenshot). I want to hide or blur my user name from the screen, or replace it with a fake name. I can mask my name out of a static shot with a shaded shape or text box, but when the video scrolls down, then I need to get that shape/box to follow the scroll, and match both the start of the scroll and the speed of the scroll so that it always stays on top of the moving part of the screen that I'm trying to hide. I tried inserting a motion path on this shape/box, but it requires a trigger and there's nothing in the video to trigger the motion path to start. Any ideas would be helpful.
