Bottom-aligned text boxes don't expand upwards?

Hi,

This is quite a simple issue. I am finding that when a text box has this configuration:

1. Vertical alignment: Bottom
2. Autofit: Resize shape to fit text

...the text box does not expand upwards, and instead expands downwards. This feels counter intuitive and makes the bottom-aligned feature much less valuable.

Does anybody have a suggestion?
