Can I take existing web objects and translate them into usable Storyline timeline items?

I am remaking a full e-learning suite for a corporate client. Their previous outsourced e-learning company made 70% of the slides into web objects hosted on an external Ubuntu server. They are styled just like the other slides, such that to an outside observer, they are indiscernible from the normal slides, but they are all web objects. I am not confident that I could either get the editable web objects or have the client understand how to get them from that company.

I need to make substantial edits to this content, so my question is: Is there any way to conveniently take the storyline-looking web content and quickly+conveniently transfer that into a Storyline slide? Or do I need to remake them all from scratch?

Happy to add more details in later discussion. Thank you!

Here's what the normal slides look like:

And here is what the web object looks like when it I open it from Storyline (from the learner's view, it looks identical to the normal Storyline slides):

  • Hi willbogen,

    Thanks for reaching out!

There isn't a way to download web objects and convert them into editable Storyline 360 project files. You'll need to replicate the embedded courses or reach out to the original course author and ask them for the project files. Let me know if you have any questions!
