Can someone confirm if the audio file name is not appearaing on hover

In Storyline 360, the audio file name should appear when hovering over an audio track in the timeline, so it’d be helpful to gather a bit more information to understand why that’s stopping in your case. If you’re able to share, knowing which Storyline version you’re on and whether this tends to happen after editing audio, reopening a project, or working with multiple Storyline instances could help narrow things down.
As a short-term workaround, renaming audio assets in the Media Library can make files easier to identify without relying on hover. If the hover behavior consistently stops working, opening a support case would allow the team to take a closer look at what’s happening in your environment.

Same for me, really annoying. It works like 3 times, then after restart it works 3 times again

As Eric mentioned, Storyline should display an audio filename when hovering over that item on the timeline. I tested a few different sample MP3 files, and all of the names displayed as expected.
The intermittent behavior you described can sometimes be caused by working off a network drive. Can you confirm that your .story files are stored on your local drive? If they are, and you're still having trouble, please try a repair of your Storyline installation.
If that doesn't do the trick, we'd love to take a closer look at your project files to see what could be getting in the way. Feel free to upload those files here in the discussion or through a support case.

My files are launched locally from my desktop. I will attempt a repair of Storyline, however I cannot share my files as they are customer owned.
As with everyone else's experiences, when first launching, it works fine, but at some point it just stops working. I have not identified any specific action I can take that makes is happen. However, once it does happen, it does not work correctly until Storyline is completely closed, even on a new blank file with just one audio file.

If repairing Storyline doesn't change the behavior, the issue may be related to Windows UI rendering rather than a problem with the app itself. Tooltips in Storyline are rendered through Windows’ user interface system. Restarting Windows Explorer refreshes that system, which can resolve temporary issues where Tooltips stop appearing correctly.
If the behavior persists, instead of closing Storyline, please try restarting Windows Explorer via the Task Manager. Here's how:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Select the Processes tab.
- Scroll down and find Windows Explorer.
- Right-Click it and select Restart.
Your screen might briefly flicker, and the taskbar may disappear momentarily, but this is expected. After that, return to Storyline and check if the Tooltips are functioning as expected.
