Hi everyone, I'm experiencing some weirdness with Articulate Storyline 360 as I am attempting to update an older course. I'm on Windows 11 (running on a Dell laptop) running Storyline v3.102.35072.0 On multiple screens where I have typed phone numbers as text (either as text boxes or as text typed into rectangle shapes), those phone numbers appear momentarily and then disappear from the screen a fraction of a second later. This only happens in the published output, not when I preview the slides. Some things to note: There are no animations attached to these phone number text boxes or to their encapsulating object (e.g., no animations attached to a rectangle shape that contains the typed text of the phone number in question). There is nothing layered over the top of the phone number text that would block it from view after a momentary pause. In at least one case, the phone number disappears even though it is part of a larger block of text in the rectangle shape, and none of the other text in the shape disappears. It's almost as if there is a bug that recognizes and hides phone numbers specifically and nothing else. I installed Peek so I could show what I'm experiencing. (Peek also didn't seem to be working too well on my new laptop--all the controls disappeared and there was no icon in the tray. I couldn't remember the default key sequence to stop the recording, so there is a bit of extra footage at the end that you can ignore). You can view that Peek recording here: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/f5d9d223-6819-4b12-bf73-720ba950004e/review So, I'm looking for help understanding what might be going on and for suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks!148Views0likes9CommentsDrag and Drop with groupings- state issues?
I created a fairly simple drag and drop question for learners. The SME requested no actual quizzing for users, just simple knowledge checks. I created imagery squares, and then added a text box on top of the images to describe what the image represents for each of these medical emergencies. The issue: While creating this, I noticed that the drop incorrect and drop correct states do NOT work if ALL drag items are groups. BUT as soon as I delete the text on at least one of the images, it works exactly the way I'd like. I attached the file. Help?! Also I just want to add- yes, I could just add the text in canva where i made the images. This is more just for me understanding why this isn't working.Solved35Views0likes8CommentsURGENT: Systematic Memory Leak & DOM Node Explosion - Multiple Projects Affected
Hello Articulate Support & Community, I am reporting a critical, project-breaking performance issue that is now affecting multiple recent modules that causes browser crashes, particularly on mobile devices. This is an urgent matter as our clients are experiencing frequent crashes, particularly on mobile devices, and our production is at a standstill. I have already opened a technical support case (# 01272139) regarding this, but I have not received a resolution yet. I am providing full technical data here to expedite a fix. The Issue: In our latest builds using the most recent version of Storyline 360, we are seeing a massive, uncontrollable accumulation of resources that the engine fails to purge: DOM Nodes: Over 70,000 nodes for a simple 11-slide project. JS Heap Size: Reaches 2.4 GB rapidly, leading to "Out of Memory" crashes. CPU Usage: Constant saturation at 99.4%, even when the slide is idle. Cross-Environment Testing: We have verified that this behavior is NOT related to a specific hosting platform. The same leak occurs across: Articulate Review 360. LMS environments (SCORM 1.2 and 2004). Local standalone web server (No LMS/No SCORM). The Issue: The Storyline runtime appears unable to perform effective Garbage Collection. Even though I am not using complex media, the DOM tree continues to grow indefinitely. It seems the engine is "stacking" every object from previous slides without ever purging them from the browser's memory. Troubleshooting Steps Taken: To isolate the cause, I have stripped the project down to its bare essentials: Slide Master: Completely deleted the Slide Master for testing—the leak persists. Slide/Layer Properties: Every slide and layer is set to "Reset to initial state". Animations/Media: Removed all videos, Move Paths, and Emphasis Effects. New Project: Imported slides into a brand-new .story file—no change. Logic: Replaced Project.Progress with custom JS to reduce CPU overhead. Conclusion: This appears to be a systemic failure in the Modern Player's Garbage Collection mechanism in recent builds. Since this is affecting multiple projects, we suspect a regression in how the engine handles object destruction. I am ready to provide the .story file immediately to any staff member who can investigate this. Our clients are extremely dissatisfied, and we need an urgent technical review. Technical Context: Storyline 360 Version: Latest Build (January 2026). Player: Modern Player. Browser: Chrome, Edge, and Firefox (All show the same 70k node retention). Thank you for your immediate attention to this case.14Views0likes0CommentsCan't re-install storyline 360
Because of some problems I decide to uninstall storyline and tried toe reinstall it. I can't reinstall Storyline. Each time I try from the Articulate 360 launcher, I get an error message directing me to the support article and then a message that states that it has been installed. I have unistalled/reinstalled Articulate 360. I have checked everything in the support article. Any advice? This is urgent as I'm developing a new training with a deadline coming soon.60Views0likes5CommentsResume Course Issue
We have recently started having issues with courses being able to resume when a learner has completed the training. The screen to resume that we have always seen appears as expected. When the Resume button is clicked, it now goes to another screen with Yes/No buttons to resume where you left off. This screen is new to us and neither button works. Note: The Restart link will take learners back to the start of the module and works fine. It's only the Resume button that causes issues. The learner has to click the Menu tab and use that to get to any slide, but that isn't obvious to the learner. We would be fine with the screen if the Yes/No buttons were active, but I can't find anywhere within Storyline to add functionality. These are slide properties: Our LMS admins think this has to do with our SCORM package, but we're publishing the same as we always have. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve this issue? If it's not a Storyline issue, we'll open a ticket with our LMS company.36Views0likes3CommentsStoryline 360 Block Not Working in Rise 360 on iOS Mobile App
Storyline 360 blocks used in a Rise 360 course are not working in an iOS mobile app. The content works fine on desktop and iOS mobile browsers, but in the iOS app it shows a black screen with a play button and does not load. Sometimes the slide freezes when closing. An iOS debug error appears: TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'this.videoEl.webkitEnterFullscreen') Review Link: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/d3ff3040-3f50-4507-a337-65c621fa5a0c/review SCORM: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PW4LeArcRaCBKUET6TCseIYpAogem9u4?usp=sharing Please confirm if this is a known issue and advise on a fix or workaround.Storyline loading three dots BG color
Hi all, When a Storyline course loads it briefly shows a loading screen with 3 animating dots. That screen has a background color. The color is written into the published HTML file. I can't figure out how to change that color within the .story file. A screenshot is attached. (as you can see mine is an unfortunate pink color.) Thanks.43Views0likes3CommentsIntroducing AI Chat + JavaScript Entrance Animations
