Is it possible to customize or remove the "Resume Prompt" screen in Storyline 360?
Hi everyone,
I’m working on a project in Storyline 360 and I’m having some trouble with the "Resume Prompt" screen (the one that asks the user if they want to resume where they left off).
I have two questions:
- Is there any way to completely disable or remove this screen?
- If it cannot be removed, is it editable? If so, how can I change its design, colors, or text?
I am publishing my courses as SCORM 1.2. I am using a custom-built LMS, and I’ve noticed that this screen appears inconsistently. I suspect my LMS might not be correctly handling or saving the "suspend_data" or bookmarking parameters sent by the Storyline course.
Please find attached a screenshot of the specific screen I’m referring to.
Any advice on how to manage this to improve the user experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You can configure the Resume behaviour in the player settings, which (depending on your choice) will also hide the prompt. You can also edit the text labels for the prompt. See here for info.

Selecting "Always resume" in the Player Properties hides the resume prompt, and the course resumes automatically.
If "Never resume" is selected, the course starts from the beginning and the resume prompt is hidden. Basically, the bookmarking system is not applied.
If "Always resume" is selected, you can customize and simulate a resume prompt screen without affecting or disabling the resume functionality. The course will still resume automatically, but learners can see your customized prompt instead.
This setup requires a few triggers, a variable, and a small JavaScript snippet. See below.
