Can't Edit Table in Rise
Is anyone able to edit a table in rise? I am able to insert a table and the editing box shows up when I highlight a column or row, but I am unable to click any of the buttons in the editing box.
Hi Samantha! Sorry you're getting stuck! Try this:
- Delete the table from the block.
- Close Rise 360.
- Re-open the lesson, and reinsert the table.
Let me know if that solves it!

That worked! Thank you!

I was having this same issue, but this workaround worked for me too. Thanks!

I am currently having the same issue but that workaround did not work for me. I am still only seeing Settings, no Edit button.

Sheri, there is no Edit button for an existing table.
If you click anywhere within the table, the table toolbar appear that will allow you to edit the table.
If you select any text in the table, the text toolbar will appear that will allow text formatting.

Ah! I see now! I was trying to edit the number of columns and could not figure out how to do it. I was right clicking on the table. Thank you!

I am facing issues with table editing.. cell alignment and formatting issues.
Hello, Aparna! Happy to help you. Would you mind sharing a screenshot so I can get a better idea of what's going on? Thanks!

Hello Alyssa, I am trying to sue a table for the first time in Rise. When I pick the table option from the text block, automatically 5 columns are selected. I want just 2. The settings section doesn't show anyway to edit it. What am I missing?

Manisha,
Yes, by default, Rise creates a table with 5 columns, 2 rows and a header row.
There is no Edit button for a table.
Simply click anywhere inside the table, and the table toolbar will appear that allows you to edit the table. You can add and delete rows and columns, format the table, etc.
If you select any text in the table, the text toolbar will appear that will allow text formatting.

I am too facing the same issue. I need only 3 columns. Rise table by default has 5 columns. On the Table toolbar there is a delete icon button, but it deletes the entire table. I only seek a table with 3 columns. Please help me as to how can I delete the extra columns from the table. Thank you.
Hello, Manisha!
Check out this video demo I recorded for you. Hopefully that clears things up!

It let me click in the column, but no options were coming up when I clicked in that little toolbar. I closed out and went back in and it worked. Thank you!

Thank you for the video; It helps explain the process. However, this feature is not working for me. When I click the icon to remove the 5th column as shown in your demonstration, nothing happens. I've closed out of my Chrome browser Version 84.0.4147.89 (Official Build) (64-bit). Logged back into Rise 360, and reopened my course, but still, nothing happens when I click the icon to delete the column.
Hi Doug! Sorry to hear you're getting stuck. Would you be able to share a short screen recording with me so I can get a better idea of what you're seeing?

Perhaps I needed to reboot my computer because it seems to be working this
morning. I knew that it should not be so difficult to add/remove table
columns and rows.Thank you,
