Changes to AI Voiceover

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing these setbacks with AI Text-to-Speech in Storyline.

We haven't released any updates for Storyline that would impact ToolTip behavior when hovering over items from the Timeline. I'm still able to see a preview of my TTS script when hovering over the audio file. Also, my script from the AI-TTS dialog window populated fairly quickly upon launch.

First, I'd like to determine whether Windows is suppressing ToolTip display globally. Can you clarify whether hover ToolTips appear elsewhere in Storyline (for example, on the ribbon controls), and in other Windows applications? If not, you can enable this Windows setting via:

• Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Performance Settings

The Performance Options window should have an item listed for "Fade or slide ToolTips into view".

If it's already enabled, erratic behavior such as this can be caused by authoring directly from a network drive. Can you confirm that you're working with locally-stored .story files? Also, have you tried repairing your Storyline installation to see if that improves the behavior?
