Characters Converting to HTML

When creating a fill in the blank question in a lesson, we are trying to make one possible response to be ">" however, when that symbol is typed in, Rise automatically converts it to HTML, so it comes out as ">"

When I student uses the symbol ">" it counts the response as incorrect. Is there a workaround for this?

  • Hi there, LUOA Elementary!

I'm sorry you've encountered this issue! We have this documented as a possible software bug. I've added you to the list, and we'll make sure to update you here if we make changes that will help.  Thanks for letting us know about it!

  • Good news!

The ">" and "<" symbols are now displayed correctly in fill-in-the-blank questions. Please have a look, and let us know how it works for you!
