Once out of Beta, will these be included with our license, or an additional fee like the AI tools?

      Hi all,

I'm glad to hear you're interested in creating Custom Blocks in Rise 360!

It's important to note that functionality may change over time based on feedback and feature stability. Although some options could be modified or removed, your published course would remain as is. Currently, this feature is available to all customers with their Articulate 360 subscription. We'll be sure to notify you if that changes!

Thanks, Kelly. Good to know that published content won't be affected by final tweaks before the feature comes out of public beta. What's the likelihood that any custom block work would become uneditable during this public beta process? For example, could either of these happen?

        • It works in my published course, but I can't go in and make client edits anymore to that block.
        • It works in my published course, I don't need to make any changes to the custom block, but I have to republish because of a change to a regular block, and now the custom block won't publish correctly.

I'd like to know if there's an additional fee as well when it goes out of Beta.

        Hi czarM-62fe8416-!

        Happy to help!

Currently, Custom Blocks in Rise 360 is available to all Articulate 360 subscribers at no extra charge. We'll be sure to provide updates if that changes!

  • Can we start using these now in our courses, or is there a chance these will not make it out of beta? If so, is there a general timeline of when we can expect a decision? If we do use them in a course and they are taken away, what happens to the block in a published course?

I'd love to know the answer to this as well. There are a few things I'd be keen to include in a rise course at the moment.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Also, I've created a course using these blocks and noticed they are not exporting to the Review 360 version of the course.

I DO see these custom blocks in Review 360.

Does anyone know how to change the icons in different blocks? There is a pyramid graphic and I would like to change the icons but don't know how.

  • Sharoni22, they're emoji's, not images. to change, get into the edit mode of the block. Select one of the icons. Select the AI Writer icon that shows up below it (looks like 3 blue stars). Scroll down to Add Emoji. In the "Tell me how to edit this text" field, write a description of the emoji you're looking for. When you have one you like, select "Replace selection".

I've been enjoying the creative freedom I'm getting using custom blocks. Loving it so far! Just a quick question, can we add Alternative Text to the blocks created? And what's it like in terms of accessibility guidelines? Thanks! 😊

      Hello AnaAsinas

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback. It's wonderful to know that you're enjoying using Custom Blocks in your workflow!

Adding alt text to the entire Custom Block is not currently possible. You can add alt text to Images and Shapes within your Custom Blocks in Rise 360. We've shared your insight with our product team so they know this matters to you.

Since Custom Blocks are still in beta, functionality may change. Our team is actively working on enhancing accessibility, and we'll keep the documentation updated so you’ll always have the latest details.
