Custom Block: What Issues Are There?

Hi, I attended the webinar today on new features and it covered custom blocks. What I would like to know is if there is anywhere I can go to see a list of the things developers are still working on. I know the coded block doesn't show up when printing to PDF and I'm pretty sure there are other issues. I want to use it for more things, but I don't know what I should stay away from while it's still in beta. Thanks!

  • Hello KrisShenenbe782

I’m so glad you joined the webinar and are exploring Rise 360's new custom blocks feature, which is currently in beta!

While we don’t share a detailed list of developments, you can check out the Articulate 360 Feature Roadmap to see what’s coming next.

I can confirm that custom blocks are not currently responsive, and we're still evaluating and improving their accessibility compliance.

If you spot anything specific that’s not working as you’d expect or have ideas to share, please send feedback directly through Rise 360. It goes straight to the team shaping these updates.

  • Hi, Luciana,

I was wondering if there were some technical issues yesterday. When I pasted html in the code block, it has always appeared immediately on the page. Yesterday I only saw an empty block and I had to Preview the lesson in order to see what I created. I thought maybe there was a bug being worked out. It seems to be showing up okay this morning. Is there anywhere I can go to see real-time issue tracking? I get the email alerts. Thanks so much! Kris

      Hi KrisShenenbe782,

Good question, and you’re right to ask. The Articulate Status page is the best place to check real-time service updates or ongoing incidents. It will show you if something system-wide is being worked on.

For minor product bugs or beta issues (like the code block moment you saw), those don’t always appear there, so please keep sharing feedback in Rise 360 or open a quick support case if it happens again. That helps our team investigate right away.

Thanks for keeping such a close eye on the new custom blocks! Your feedback really helps us polish the feature.
