Custom Code in Rise – Early Access Group!
Ever have an idea for a brand new block and wish you could build it into Rise 360? We’re creating something that will let you do just that, and we want you to be part of it!
Our team is exploring a new block type that will allow authors to embed their own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly into Rise 360 training. Whether you’re brand new to coding, have years of experience, or you work with AI to develop projects, your feedback is essential in helping us build a feature that works for everyone.
As a member of the early access group, you'll:

I noticed I had access to the custom code block yesterday and have already used it in my day-to-day work. I L-O-V-E it! I had used the two-column image grid and used the caption field to discuss two, but related concepts. the pictures were way too close together to give it a true comparison feel. But, low and behold, I spot the custom code block (queue the Hallelujah chorus) and created exactly what I wanted using the Prompts block. I've attached the before (two-column image grid) and after (Prompts block). Thank you for allowing me to test these new features. I'm having so much fun with them!

That sounds like an exciting opportunity! A Custom Code block in Rise 360 would be a game changer for flexibility and creativity. Early access members getting to test, give feedback, and help shape the feature is a great way to ensure it works well for both beginners and advanced users.
Kyle, thanks for giving us the opportunity to kick the tires on Custom Code block. I did a quick screen recording and here are my main pro/con takeaways that I think users will find interesting:
- Pro- you can fully customize with html/css/js. Anything you could do previously with Embed block, but now it's all stored in your Rise course, instead of needing to host it yourself.
- Pro- it fits better (than Embed block iframe) inside your rise course
- Con- It doesn't inherit any styles from the rest of your course. Bring your own design system, including fonts.
- Con- Possible issue with bloated file size of the overall Rise package, all your files need to be added to each block, instead of reusing images/code that could be shared resources.
- Probably best for users who are already experienced at building websites. Especially for responsive and accessibility requirements.

That sounds like a fantastic opportunity! 🎉 The ability to embed custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly into Rise 360 will really open up possibilities for more interactive and tailored learning experiences.
