Custom Drop Down Menu does not allow for reselection

Hello,

I have a custom drop-down menu where the menu is a layer that is brought on by a trigger. When a user selects an option, the state of the drop-down box changes accordingly. However, once a choice is selected, the user is unable to select the same option again.

Any help would be appreciated. I have attached the storyline file.

Thank you,

Melanie

  • Hi Ange,

Thank you for responding so quickly!

If a user selects Option 1 from the drop-down menu, then changes their mind and selects Option 2, but a second later decides to go back to Option 1, it (option 1) no longer appears.

I believe I found a fix though. I replaced the option shapes with buttons, and now it works perfectly!

    Hi Melanie,
"Once a choice is selected, the user is unable to select the same option again."
I think I am missing something. Is the following the logic you are looking for?
    1. Click 'Select your option" shows layer with drop down options
    2. Select an option from the dropdown list
    3. Click Submit button
    4. Result slide: Correct or Try Again
    5. If Try Again, click Try Again button
    6. Base layer shows with user's last choice shown in box OR did you want "Select your option" to show in the box on Retry?
    7. Repeat above until correct
