Customize the Modern Player Menu
Hello,
Is there a way to reduce the width of the Modern Player's Menu? It takes up a lot of screen space, unlike the Classic player. The actual slide seems to get less real estate on the screen.

Thanks for the suggestion, MandarPhadke, that’s a great callout!
At the moment, the Modern Player menu doesn’t offer a way to adjust its width. You can show or hide the menu, but the panel size itself is fixed, which can definitely make the slide area feel more constrained compared to the Classic player.
I can see how having control over the menu width would help reclaim screen space and give authors more flexibility, especially on smaller displays. I’ve shared this idea with our product team as a feature request so they can consider it alongside other Modern Player enhancements.
In the meantime, the only workaround is to toggle the menu off when it’s not needed, but I agree that having more granular control here would be useful.

MandarPhadke: Consider setting the Menu to Start collapsed.
With that option, the course opens without showing the Menu. The user can click the icon if they want to view the Menu. If they do that, the slide does shrink to display the Menu.
Here's another option to consider. In the Player Properties, select Menu, and then use the down arrow key to move it into the Topbar section. That keeps it out of the way until it is needed. When is it opened, it appears on top of the slide area (like the Resources tab does).
