Disappearing content from slide/stage and only appears if I click in the text box

So not sure what I did but initially the content on the stage, aka slide was always displaying in the application. Now, if I go any slide, the content is on the stage but just not visible till I cli...

I am having the same problem as NomdeGuerre! (So adding my experience here)

For a little context: 

  • It is a multiple choice question slide.
  • The base slide now looks like a blank Incorrect feedback layer. 
  • I think it is a fairly big file (52MB)

 

The answer options, textboxes, shape, and image on the slide are not showing anymore. They DO show if I click where they were/where they should be---sometimes! Sometimes it takes 2-3 clicks.

  • It does not show up if I move an item.
  • It is not the Timeline visualization function either. 
  • My Storyline is up-to-date. 

 

I tried closing Storyline and opening it again, but it didn't help. 

I will try to restart my computer and update this comment.

UPDATE: Restarting didn't help. 

Also, I am working on my local drive, but I do have a backup file on a shared drive. I save the file back and forth on the local drive and shared drive.

I will simply delete and recreate the slide because it seems to be an isolated incident in the file. (And I'll check out EricSantos' tips below)
