Display 1 character of a reference?
Hello! Does anyone know how how to display a certain number of characters from a reference field? Currently, I'm having learners insert first and last name at the start of the course, but there are certain areas where I just want to display their first and last initial (first character of each reference). Thanks!
Storyline can't do that on its own. You'd need some JavaScript. (Sorry, I can't help with that.)
By far the easiest way is to ask them for their preferred initials, and use them or the names, as you need them.
