Editing an existing eLearning module

Hi there,

I need to edit an existing eLearning module created with (it appears) Articulate Storyline. However, this course was created a couple of years ago by a contractor who used their own Articulate licence and no longer works for the company. 

The only data I have access to, is the .zip file. 

I'm a bit confused where to find the .story file. Articles refer to this file type, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the .zip file (even after extracting it) and if it's not there, where would I find it?

    The zip file is created after publishing, and contains only the published files, none of which is useful for editing. Sorry, but if you can't contact them and get the .Story file, you can't edit it.

    Thanks Walt. Where would this .story file normally be located?E.g. does it automatically get saved in a particular folder?

    I've also just created a course in Rise and published to an LMS, but I didn't realise what a .story file. Keen to know if there's a place it's automatically saved to.

    the .story file as default will be saved on the local harddisk of the developer. The zip is just the published output. you need the original source file ( .story ) from the developer.
