Efficient way to extract and merge all Storyline audio into a single file?

I’m currently refreshing all the courses in our repository and need to extract audio from multiple slides across different Storyline modules and merge them into a single audio file for accessibility compliance.

So far, I’ve considered two options:

Option 1: Use VIEW > Media Library to export all audio files and then merge them into one audio. However, since I’m working with so many different modules, manually exporting each file could be time-consuming.

Option 2: Export the module as a video and then extract the audio using a third-party tool.

Has anyone found a more efficient way to batch export and merge Storyline audio files? Any tips or tools would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi HongShu-2d122fd,

    Thanks for reaching out!

These options should work. I see that my teammate, Luiza, shared another way to achieve this with the following steps:

    1. Publish your Storyline project as a web package
    2. Open the generated folder and go to story_content
    3. Copy all the audio files in your Storyline project from that folder
    4. Use a third-party tool to merge these audio files into one file

I hope this helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to continue working with Luiza in your support case.

You don’t need to manually export each file individually. Instead, you can select all the audio files at once and export them together into a single folder.

There are many online tools, like Audio Joiner, that allow you to arrange your files in the desired order and download them as a single merged MP3. If online tools aren’t an option for you, try using Audacity
