Execute Javascript Trigger won't fire

Hi all,

I wanted to see if the community had any suggestions for troubleshooting for a project i'm currently working on. Unfortunately I can't share the file due to it being protected work, but thankfully my problem is simple.

Q4 of last year I began working on this Storyline file that uses Javascript to perform some calculations on variables used and entered throughout the training. I left for the holidays and upon returning I can't get a single "Execute Javascript" function inside the training to function.

Nothing was changed between then and now so i'm at a loss as to why it was working and now won't function.

I've tried to create new JS triggers in the file to push simple code like "alerts" but non have successfully fired.

What has worked so far is recreating a few slides in an entirely new storyline file and develop the triggers and JS from scratch. I'd rather not reprogram the file from start so if you have any suggestions as to what might be causing this / what the solution is, i'm all ears!
