Experiencing freezes in some Rise blocks
Hi everyone,
I’m happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update fixes the issue you encountered where the editor could freeze when deleting or editing text in certain blocks, such as Accordion and Knowledge Check blocks, especially when lists or multiple line breaks were involved.
There’s nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to refresh the editor.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update or the issue you reported.
Hi FranciscoJosMuC,
Thanks for the detailed write-up, and thanks to everyone else for confirming you’re seeing the same thing.
Based on what you’re describing, this does line up with an issue we’re investigating where Rise can hang when deleting certain text structures, such as unordered lists or multiple line breaks, inside blocks like Accordions.
I’ve gone ahead and connected this discussion to the existing bug report so the team has full visibility into how this is impacting multiple authors.
While the team continues looking into this, the temporary workaround is to avoid deleting content that includes multiple consecutive line breaks or bulleted lists within those blocks, as you’ve already discovered.
If you haven’t already, please open a support case so we can attach your experience directly to the investigation. If possible, sharing a copy of a course where this happens, or clear steps to reproduce it, will help us track the impact more accurately and follow up as we learn more.
Thanks again for flagging this and for your patience, especially with tight deadlines.
