Freeze a block?

We are creating a RISE with a lot of content and the client does not want to use the menu as it appears on the side. They want the title of each section to remain at the top of the screen as you scroll down (kind of like you freeze the top row of an Excel spreadsheet). Has anyone found a way to make this work?

  • Hi LanaGossin,

Thanks for highlighting the type of functionality you'd like to see in Rise 360.

I've shared your request with our product team, and we'll be sure to notify you if we release a future update that helps. In the meantime, you can come close to this type of design by using the 'Overlay' menu option with navigational buttons set to 'Floating'. Here's how:

    1. Open the Theme settings.
    2. Select Navigation.
    3. Under the Type tab, select Overlay.
    4. Under the Buttons tab, switch the Previous/Next buttons to Floating.
    5. Make sure to save your changes when done.

During course playback, the Overlayed menu will remain hidden until learners click the small menu button in the upper left corner. Also, Rise does not support changing the language that appears on the floating navigational buttons. They will always display as 'Home' or 'Lesson X'.

Please let me know if you need anything else!
