I was doing an onlilne search to try and find out how to do a basic find and replace in Rise, only to find that this feature is not available - and that users have been asking for it for years!
Is it really so difficult to do?

I agree that it would be SUCH an impactful feature!Find and replace needs to be a basic feature and its crazy this just hasn't been implemented in the roadmap.
I have to agree with this. My job as a course quality reviewer requires me to constantly check when a term has been used in a course or whether it has been presented in a different way (allcaps versus nocaps for example). I cannot do this in edit mode and have to have a separate window open in preview mode to search the course but even then I cannot replace what is wrong with what is correct as the functionality does not exist. This means that work takes longer and is more open to items being missed. I know I ask for a lot of things from Articulate Rise 360, but they are all important and need to be addressed.

Hope this might help people in this thread - i've created a simple tool for this. Its a bit of a work around, but it does streamline things somewhat.
I succesfully bulk updated the US to UK English for a package i'm working on, which I've put as a preset, but you can add other find and replace commands.
Just export the xlf file from Rise. Modify it in the tool then re-upload.
I can add features if you want to request them, or if you find a bug, please let me now.

Thank you, Matt. I have checked with some of the learning designers in my team and they are doing something similar. It is just frustrating that this has been requested over the past few years and has not been actioned.
Not sure if this tip has been shared yet, but I recently had a big "Find / Replace" need in Rise. What helped me was to publish the course to PDF and then do a "Find" within the PDF and "Replace" in Rise.

Thanks for sharing your workaround! I can definitely see how publishing your course to a PDF to search for text, then manually making those updates back in Rise, could become time-consuming, especially when you're working with larger courses.
I'd love to learn a little more so I can share additional context with our Product team:
- How often do you find yourself needing to update text across an entire Rise course?
- What kinds of updates are you typically making, such as terminology changes, branding updates, or correcting repeated content?
- If Rise had a built-in Find & Replace feature, what would your ideal workflow look like?

Hi Luciana, I agree with many in this post that the 'find and replace' feature is very needed. To help you and the Product team, here are my response to your questions:
- I need to update text across an entire Rise course very frequently as our courses often go through multiple review cycles involving SMEs, brand updates, and stakeholder feedback. It's common to need course-wide text updates several times during development and again after publication when policies, terminology or requirements change. At the moment, I use the Search function and then have to Ctrl+F again while on the lesson page to identify each instance for replacing.
- Some common updates include terminology changes, stylistic changes such as changing Arabic numbers to words, double quotation marks to single quotation, branding updates such as names of clients or people we refer to in the course, correcting repeated content errors or typos that exist in multiple lessons, updating links, call-to-action text or references to documents and processes. Manually locating each instance is time-consuming and introduces the risk of missing bits.
- My ideal workflow would be to open a course-level Find & Replace panel, search for a word or phrase across the entire course, view all matches in a results list showing: lesson name, block type (if possilbe), a preview of the surrounding text, then I can choose to replace individual instances, selected instances, or all instances across the course. Ideally there will be options for match case, whole words only, and to be able to search within lesson titles, button labels and interactions. However saying this, a simple version of find and replace would be super beneficial already.
