Generate AI Audio: Text-To Speech malfunction
I've been using this feature and all of a sudden I keep getting "We couldn't generate your audio." So I do the "Try Again" button, does not help. I rebooted but keep getting the same error and now I'm stuck. I also deleted the audio, duplicated the slide, and tried to add it to a new slide. Same error. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with text-to-speech generation. Our team has identified and released a fix for the error some users encountered: generating AI text-to-speech greater than 650 characters would fail. This fix should be released immediately, and we'll let you know when that error is resolved.

This started happening today for me.
Hi NaomiCM,
Thanks for reaching out!
I see you've connected with my teammate, Rafael, in a support case. They've emailed you some additional troubleshooting steps. Please give those a try and let them know if you need any assistance!

@ EricSantos, I notice this post is over a year ago. Well today 4/9/26, I'm encountering the same problem. Are there any updates to a fix?
Hi KarelWagner,
I appreciate you flagging this.
You’re right that this thread is a bit older, and that specific issue around character limits was resolved at the time. Since you’re seeing similar behavior again, it may be something different in your setup.
To help narrow it down, could you share a bit more about what’s happening on your end? For example:
- Are you seeing the error with all text, or only longer entries?
- Does it happen in a brand-new project as well?
- Which voice or model are you using?
Since this doesn’t appear to be tied to a broader issue, if it’s happening consistently, opening a support case would be the best next step so the team can take a closer look at what’s going on.
