Hide Player Menu During Examination

I have built a course to include a scored 25-question examination drawing a specified number of questions from 5 different groups of questions (These question draws are set up as in a separate scene from the scene including the content).  The test is functioning as expected.  I would like for the Player to display the (restricted) menu UNTIL the point that the examination begins.  I will invite the learner to revisit any of the content slides before beginning the examination, but during the examination the content should not be accessible.   I am having difficulty finding posted online community support for this case. Is there a way to make this happen with a project variable?  Or will I need to set the test up as an independent project and launch the test file from within the content file?

  • Hi! You can change the player settings for individual slides. For the assessment slides, in the bottom right corner there is a gear icon. Click that and under "Player Features," select "Custom for the selected slides." Uncheck the menu option and you should be good to go.

Grace's answer is the answer! I would also turn off the PREV button (in the same slide properties gear icon) on each of your quiz question slides so that the learners can't just press previous and go back to the info they want and then jump back ahead using the menu. :)

Thank you SO MUCH, Grace, for taking the time to post the solution!  My day is starting off great!  Elizabeth, I also appreciate the extra tip.  I see that this is a slide by slide fix--that this solution cannot be applied to the question master slide.  I am implementing now.
