How does publishing a Rise 360 course to SCORM work with storyline blocks and videos?

How does publishing a Rise 360 coursework with storyline blocks linked to Review 360 and videos to SCORM work? Does a published SCORM package also include those storyline files? Are these automatically embedded or are there things I can check to make sure they are embedded and included in the final SCORM package? I want to be sure that the final SCORM package doesn't have "holes" where these blocks and videos should be. thank you!!

  • All blocks are treated equally during publishing and are included. No holes; no post-publishing edits to the scorm package required.

  • Also not if the storyline files are linked in my Rise course through Review360? I suppose the activity is linked and not really embedded because changes are still possible..

As Owen said, all files are included in the Rise SCORM package, including Storyline files.

Storyline files are part of the Rise course, and are not linked to Review 360.

  • I'll add some details to what Owen and Karl said.

When you publish a Rise course with a Storyline (SL) block, the published files include all the files needed to display the SL block in the course.

The "Storyline files" in the published output do not include the .story file that was used to create the content for the SL block.

If you need to edit the content in the SL block, you'll have to edit the .story file in Storyline, publish the update to Review 360, reinsert that into the SL block, and then republish the Rise course.
