How to Make the Audio Restart on a Slide When Using the Player Control
I have a slide that plays a video and has animations synced to an audio file. I want my learner to be able to use the Replay button on the player to restart the video, animations, and audio all over again if they need to review the content on the slide again. I have the Replay button on the player checked (along with the play/pause buttons and seek bar). When I preview the slide, the video and animations start over again when the Replay button is pressed, but not the audio. The only control the learner has over the audio is to play/pause it.

Hi there,
The reason you are seeing this behaviour is because your audio file is being controlled by a trigger. When controlled by a trigger it becomes independent of the timeline player in which your video and text animations are playing.
You can quickly identify this by seeing if the audio file on the timeline is showing a speaker icon (controlled by trigger) or is showing the audio wave form (controlled by the player).
The way to resolve this is to remove the triggers that are starting the audio.
Once you have done this, you will find that the main player can now control the audio too.
Thanks,

I have a similar question, but I need the audio to replay without jumping back to the base layer, which is happening now.
Here is a recording of what I'm seeing. https://360.articulate.com/review/content/bf530b1e-aab1-4145-a790-57bc8e38de0c/review
Hi Devan,
Happy to help!
Can you let me know which specific event in the slide is suppose to trigger the audio replay so I can help you with your design? For your reference, this requirement will make use of the "Play media" trigger to replay the audio in the base layer, but you'll need to associate it with a specific event for the trigger to work.
Did you want to replay the audio when the learner clicks on a specific button? Or when a specific layer appears on screen?

Yes, I want the audio to replay when the user clicks the replay icon but not jump to the base layer. For example, if the user is on layer 3 of 4 and replays the audio I don't want it to show the base layer.

That worked great! Thank you very much!
