How to turn off video compression or increase video quality
Hi J K,
Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue with video compression, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
- You can turn off compression altogether for MP4 videos created with baseline, main, or high profiles. (All other videos will be compressed automatically.)
- If the Compression property is grayed out, it means your video was created with a different profile or it has been edited with Storyline's built-in video editor.
- Additionally, here are some best practices for high-quality videos and images.
I hope this helps! If you'd like assistance with your file, you're welcome to upload it here or share it privately with our team in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete!

Hi Kelly,
Is there a way to edit the video with Storyline's built-in video editor without having the compression grayed out or without having the video automatically compressed?
for some reason I have to edit the video to increase the volume, even though the volume is set to high.Thanks.
