How to turn off video compression or increase video quality
I've been screenrecording via storyline360, and also imported an MP4 video into my slides. However, when I export the course the video quality diminishes greatly.

JK. I had this same issue and found your post today researching. I reset the size of the video player and adjusted the publishing setting for highest quality and it worked in the modern player.
I will have to change my slide design to accommodate, but it did improve the quality. These were the directions I used:
