Hyperlink to a section within a lesson in Rise
- 1 month ago
Hi everyone!
Great news! 🎉 The hyperlink enhancements you have been asking for are now available in Rise 360!
You can now link text or images to a specific lesson or even a specific block within a lesson, giving you more flexibility to guide learners exactly where you want them to go in your course.
This capability started in Rise Labs with links to lessons and expanded based on feedback to include links to specific blocks. It’s now out of Labs and available in Rise 360.
Thank you to everyone who shared your use cases and feedback in this discussion. Your input helped us understand how valuable more flexible navigation would be for your courses. We hope you enjoy giving it a try!
It does require modifying the exported course, I show the process here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXHZvj-cSqE and I thank you for proposing this functionality, I don't think I would have thought of it without seeing your post and people upvoting this kind of feature. Note- it will not work on headings that are placed after a continue block.
Phil, I am confused by your video.....at 48 seconds, you are copying a folder named theme. You mention your sample file. Where can I find this? Do I publish to web and then edit the index.html file?

Hi Chris, it is a component I haven't publicly distributed, this was a demonstration on adding a javascript Theme Component to a Rise course, and indeed it does require you to 'publish' either a web or scorm package, and then apply the component in a new folder that I recommend you name 'theme.' It is a bit experimental, and not supported by Rise. If I can get a thumbs up on this response, I'll release the code.
