Ideas for adding ASL (sign language) to a course

I just tried this and it seemed to work just fine:

1. Draw a 99% transparent rectangle over the video and group the rectangle and video. (This will allow the video to be draggable as well as prevent the video from pausing when it's clicked.)

2. On the Insert tab, convert the slide to a freeform slide and select Drag and Drop.

3. Select the Group as the drag item and set the Drop Target to "None."

4. Still on the Form View tab, set Feedback to "None," Require to "User may skip," and Results Slide to "None."

5. Still on the Form View tab, uncheck everything on the Drag & Drop Options tab.

6. In the Slide Properties dialog box, uncheck the Submit button and enable Prev/Next settings as desired.

Preview. You should be able to drag the video (well, the grouped video) around the slide. You could also include in the group a rectangle adjacent but above the video with instructions to click and drag.

Note: It hasn't eluded me that if you're including ASL videos, you're likely intending to make your project accessible. This "moving the video around" feature is not accessible because it requires dragging. But with some effort (e.g., motion paths), you may be able to move the group around via the keyboard too.
