I'm learning to use the morph feature between slides! Having trouble...
If I have a slide, and copy it, set the transition to "morph", then change the text on the slide it morphs to, my text fades instead of morphing to a smaller size and different position as I intend. I did change the text, but I changed it on both slides so it would match. Can I not change text once I've set it to morph? Did that break the connection?

From my understanding the only things you can change on an element when using morph is size, position, rotation and colour. Even if you copy and paste the same text box from one slide to the next the body of text has to remain the exact same.
I would imagine what is happening is that SL is creating an in between slide that is working out and checking what elements are the exact same then adjusts for size, position, rotation and colour changes of those elements. However if the elements have had changes outside of those then it results in a fade instead of a smooth animation. Additionally If you can switch between slides fast enough it will skip the in-between slide and instead results in a fade transition as a default.

I'm experiencing similar issues, except its not even to a textbox that's been changed. I was testing out the functionality and its limits, and realized it can only handle so much morphing.
For example, in my case I had 21 text boxes on screen both moving and zooming in/scaling up between each. However, the 21st text box would not move or scale—just fade. Nothing changed about it, and so I duplicated that object and replaced the old one—no luck. So, I remade the entire slide from scratch to have the exact same issue. Though I've had the fade issue happen with as few as 4 items on screen.
If you also have too much happening, you'll see some lag sometimes too, or elements not morphing in sync. I think it's a really cool new feature, but definitely needs some fine tuning!

Text that Animates by Paragraph won't even fade between morphs, it just clips in and out.
Hello Spencer,
I understand you are having difficulty with fading when using the Morph Transition in your Storyline project.
- What is the current duration for the morph transitions in your course? I'm curious if modifying the duration will impact your experience.
- What specific elements or objects in your course lag behind others?
It would be helpful to take a closer look at your file and a screen recording of this behavior in action. You can share your .story file in this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
