Incompatibility with LMS

I have been successfully publishing my Rise courses to our hospital's LMS for the past few months. The course format is the same for each course so I have not changed the fundamental structure in Rise. For the last 2 courses I have created, they haven't been able to properly upload to our LMS. They upload but it will show a blank screen when opening the course or the video will not play. I have tried remaking the course on Storyline as well but it still doesn't work upon re-uploading. Is there an update that has changed the way the course gets published from Rise? Our LMS team believes it may have something to do with the SCORM package.

2 things: what versions/editions of SCORM does your LMS support, and have you tried your course on SCORM Cloud to see if it's a course issue or an LMS issue?

      Our LMS supports 1.2.

I just tried it on SCORM Cloud and it works on there so it seems like this is an LMS issue? If so, it would be great if there was a way to reconfigure our courses to fit the LMS. Other people in the hospital tend to use Easygenerator so I wonder what the difference is since they're not running into these issues.

That sounds like it is an LMS issue. The Level I Trauma Center I used to work for 10 years ago was running an ancient LMS which could only handle SCORM 1.2 content IF the course was packaged as a SWF -- forget about SCORM 2004. But it handled AICC like a champ! 😆. Once we upgraded to something more modern, the problem went away.

It sounds like your LMS team may need to bring the LMS' vendor tech support into the loop, since the course runs fine on the Gold Standard, SCORM Cloud.
