Is there a way to set a default animation for captions created using screen recordings?
The captions that are generated by the screen recording are 3 seconds long and fade in and out, with both animations lasting 0.25 seconds each.
Is there a way to change the default animation, or do I need to use the animation painter on each caption?

Hi Michael, this post has aged a bit, so I assume you have moved on with the format painter, which is the correct answer I'm afraid.
It's definitely lacking in this department.
The format painter doesn't work to remove the fade animation on the shapes, which is frustrating because users complain that the prompt disappears. So much manual work.
Screen recording and setting defaults for your objects is the only area in which Captivate is better than Storyline. Very frustrating.
