Is there a way to use Storyline 360 on a Mac?
I'm new to Articulate360. I love the platform but I'm realizing that there's some amazing stuff that can only be created in Storyline. But I don't have Windows. Is there a way to use Storyline on an Apple computer? Or a way to use it online as Rise?
Thanks for your support!

Alex,
You can run Windows on your Mac. You'll need a copy of Parallels and a copy of the Windows operating system.
Hi Alex,
I'd also recommend taking a look at the information here in terms of working on a Mac with Articulate 360. There are a few tools that are native to Mac such as Rise and Peek - the other authoring tools are specific to Windows.

Are there any plans for the release of a Mac version? I think it's mind blowing that a creative development software company doesn't release a Mac version of the software when Mac is clearly the better machine for creative development.
Hi, William. Great question, and thanks for sharing your insight with us!
While we haven't announced plans for a native Mac version of Storyline, it can be installed on a Mac with Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple Boot Camp. In fact, we've created these short videos to walk you through each program's process.
Many members on our team, myself included, use a Mac daily, so we appreciate its properties. Most of us also use Parallels to run a Windows environment, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
Thanks again for adding your voice, and we're here if you need anything else!

There are only videos showing how it's done with parallels. Nothing for bootcamp.

Hi Katie,
Four years ago you wrote that you haven't announced plans for a native Mac app 'yet'...
Has the 'yet' already arrived? It's such a nuisance to run Windows just for Storyline.
Cheers,
Theo

Hi! Is there a reason that you use another vendor Parallels rather than sticking with Apple Boot camp for this? I have the same issue. I am caught by surprise that this software does not support Mac.

I would prefer to use in parallels to take benefit of the Mac OS for everything else

I wish Articulate would consider a true Mac version - having to pay for Parallels and Windows is very costly!

I agree!

Plus there's only limited SSD disk space on my Powerbook!

It's very frustrating that a creative development software company doesn't use Mac which is clearly the better machine for creative. I'm in the process of testing out Adobe Captivate solely because of the fact that i can run the native software on my Mac.

Astonished too. Just downloaded Storyline - but Im on a Mac - so will dump it and also explore Adobe

The MAC is the more natural platform for content creation. Odd that Articulate do not have a native Mac version of SL. VM, Parallels etc. running on a MAC is still Windows.

Yes, I find this frustrating and surprising too!
