Issue embedding SketchFab 3D viewer into Storyline

Storyline 360 v3.84.31722.0

I was wondering if anyone has successfully embedded SketchFab or has run into the same issues.

I've attempted to insert the provided embed code from SketchFab via insert/web object however it does not recognize the code and generates this error message:
"Please enter a valid web address"

I've also attempted to use insert/video/video from website resulting with the error message:
"A video cannot be inserted from this embed code. Verify that the embed code is correct and then try again."

I'm wondering if there is an alternative or any other method.

Embed code:
<div class="sketchfab-embed-wrapper"> <iframe title="poly" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen="true" webkitallowfullscreen="true" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; xr-spatial-tracking" xr-spatial-tracking execution-while-out-of-viewport execution-while-not-rendered web-share src="https://sketchfab.com/models/86fa48ddd3044d84b9210850108783c9/embed"> </iframe> <p style="font-size: 13px; font-weight: normal; margin: 5px; color: #4A4A4A;"> <a href="https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/poly-86fa48ddd3044d84b9210850108783c9?utm_medium=embed&utm_campaign=share-popup&utm_content=86fa48ddd3044d84b9210850108783c9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="font-weight: bold; color: #1CAAD9;"> poly </a> by <a href="https://sketchfab.com/dnguy316?utm_medium=embed&utm_campaign=share-popup&utm_content=86fa48ddd3044d84b9210850108783c9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="font-weight: bold; color: #1CAAD9;"> dnguy316 </a> on <a href="https://sketchfab.com?utm_medium=embed&utm_campaign=share-popup&utm_content=86fa48ddd3044d84b9210850108783c9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="font-weight: bold; color: #1CAAD9;">Sketchfab</a></p></div>

a little about SketchFab:
Sketchfab is an online platform that allows users to publish, share, and discover 3D, VR, and AR content. It serves as a vast repository where creators can upload their 3D models and make them accessible to viewers who can interact with the models directly in their web browsers. It's like YouTube, but for 3D content.

  • Hi Dennis,

    Happy to help!

If you use just the link (without the code wrapped around it) to add the model as a Web Object, this should work.

Here's what the published output of the slide will look like:

Let me know if this works for you!
