Was there a published solution to this issue? I have a client using Cornerstone and they are reporting the same issue. SL3 is the product being used but I would imagine the "fix" would be similar. There was a visual correction to an image state in the course and now Cornerstone is not accepting the new version giving the same critical error as the OP.
