Issues with the quiz timer in Rise - No Score received by LMS once the time is up
Hello community,
We are currently developing some pre-qualification tests for a European competition. We've decided to do this in Rise, using the question banks and drawing a certain number of randomised questions from them.
This works very well and is also easy to maintain, but now we have run into a problem with the time limit for the quizzes.
In our case, we have a time limit of 30 minutes for the user to complete the quiz. After these 30 minutes the current status of the test should be sent to the LMS and the user should be forced to leave the quiz or at least not be able to work in the quiz anymore.
This is also stated in the timer information - "Current results are automatically submitted at the end of the timer, with any unanswered questions marked incorrect. The quiz timer resets after each attempt".
These are our settings for the test (1 minute limit just for testing purposes in the LMS):
After testing this, we've now found the following problem:
When closing the eLearning after receiving the "times up" message, the status in the LMS is the following, which does not match the information in the help section, which states that the current status will be submitted (score is unknown, although some questions have been answered and all open questions should be marked as "wrong"):
These are our settings for the published SCORM file:
Are there any settings we need to change to get the score from the moment the time is up?
Happy for any help! Thank you very much!

Update on this issue after some testing:
This problem only seems to occur when using questions from a question bank. If I create the questions directly within the course, when the timer reaches the end, I am taken to the results page immediately after confirming the "times up" pop-up.
The score is then correctly submitted to the LMS.Hi JanZimmermann-b,
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with LMS reporting. I appreciate you sharing your quiz and publishing settings. It helped a lot in my investigation.
I created a sample Rise 360 course with a Question Bank quiz. I used the same quiz and publishing settings and then tested the LMS output in SCORM Cloud. After answering two out of four questions correctly and waiting for the 1-minute timer to expire, I got the results below:
Please feel free to test my course using this invite link to see if you get the same results. The correct quiz answers in my sample course are all "Choice 2."
If the issue persists even with my course and you're already using the latest version of a supported browser, I recommend clearing your browser cookies or cache and seeing if it helps.
Let me know how it goes, and I'll be more than happy to assist further. If you want more targeted help, you can also connect with us privately in a support case and share your Rise course with our Support team.

EricSantos Thank you for looking at this and giving me some ideas. The issue still exists - just to update this with some more information, we use team question banks, the SME is the owner of them and the team are the managers of the question banks. I've now opened a support case for this due to the confidential information contained in these courses.
Hi JanZimmermann-b,
I appreciate you testing with the course I shared. You did a great job pinpointing a possible problem with Team Question Banks!
Thank you for sharing the screenshots and your published output in a support case. I see that my teammate Enelluar has picked it up. Please expect an email from him shortly.
Let's continue the conversation in your support case to keep all the information in one place, but I'm happy to assist further as needed!
