Thanks, All! No we have not had our first meeting yet. Get things going is harder than it may look. We had hoped the first meeting would have been last month but that did not pan out. We'll be announcing the schedule of the first few meetings shortly. We have a central site located that should be good for our first few meetings. Part of the problem is that both Chuck Nemer and I have been so darn busy lately with our separate client projects and other matters. Also, many folks did not like our using Google Groups to organize things so we've been looking at something else. No, the survey was not marketing. Sorry anyone felt that way. We'll be sharing the results at our first meeting, among other things. Lot of good info sharing. If anyone NEW is interested in joining this group (and have not expressed interest before), please use this form.

I hope to update this thread shortly. Chuck had to drop out of being a co-organizer at the 11th hour due to work needs and this was really unfortunate as we had the first meeting planned and a good location. In short, I need help to get things going and I'll explain more shortly. And, no, the survey was not for marketing. It was for eventual knowledge sharing and gathering interests and other needed information.

Update . . .

We hope to have our first meeting of the user group this September, sometime the third or fourth week.

We will also be shortly surveying members to help gauge what people would like to see and how the user group should work.

If you are interested in possibly joining the Twin Cities Articulate user group, please complete this online form (which Tom Kuhlmann started earlier this year for us--thanks, Tom!).

No I did not receive any invite yesterday - but I stumbled around this forum and saw a link. I have "signed/registered" to the Google Group. Can you confirm you now see me in it? I am pretty sure I done this in the past. Also I get emails from you - but it might be nice if you confirm where you sent the invite to - which email address...

Hmm, that's weird. I sent it to the e-mail address that you just indicated again this morning with the form.

I need to send some more invites to the Google Group later today as five more folks have expressed interest. Let me know after today if you've received the invite or not.

In other news, we have 51 folks in the Google Group. I'm happily surprised by all the interest.

    I also signed up via Google as requested and then I received a Survey to "assess group needs" - there were so many specific questions that I felt like it was a marketing survey so I jumped out of it.

Hi, Kate! Yup, we've got you on the list. Expect to receive a survey from us very shortly. Please take the time to answer it to give us some early direction and also encourage knowledge and experience sharing among members.

We haven't scheduled the date of the first meeting in September yet. But I'd expect that shortly when Chuck gets back in town.

P.S. We're up to 57 folks with an additional 13 folks invited who have not accepted the invite to the Google Group yet.

Because of issues we're having, along with some of the invitees, we're looking at an alternative to using Google Groups.
